Notes: According to the 1939 WPA Survey, this congregation was organized in 1909 as the First Czernowitz American Congregation Ohr Olom Anshe Bukowiner and was located in a hall on 1st Street until 1919. It was then located at 82 East 4th Street from 1919 to 1924 and in 1922 changed its name to the Czernowitz Bukowiner Congregation and Rabbi Jacob Sirovich Talmud Torah, also known as the Congregation of the People of Czernowitz in Bukovina.
