This congregation is listed as defunct in the 1939 WPA Survey with the note: "Congregation neither at above address (Negro Church - Mt. Nebo Baptist Church) nor at 22 Forsyth." Another note from the WPA Survey: "An empty lot at present site. This congregation was traced to its last address at 204 West 94th Street, which is actually the residence of the Sec. Mr. Isidor Fishman. Mr. Fishman informed that this congregation was last located at 115th Street and Lenox Avenue. Due to the influx of negroes in the neighborhood, the Jewish membership dispersed to other boroughs and in 1934 the congregation was dissolved.
